1. Introduction
Welcome to GK Travels, a luxury airport transfer and private tour service based in Iceland. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, including:
Luxury airport transfers
Private tours in Iceland
Online bookings and reservations
Customer support and related services
By booking with GK Travels, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.
2. Booking and Reservations
A. Booking Process
All bookings must be made through our official website, email, phone, or authorized partners.
A confirmation email will be sent upon successful booking.
Bookings are subject to availability.
B. Payment Terms
Deposit: A deposit may be required to secure bookings (varies by service).
Full Payment: Must be completed before the service date unless otherwise agreed.
Accepted Payment Methods: Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), bank transfers, or other approved methods.
Currency: All transactions are in ISK (Icelandic Króna) unless stated otherwise.
C. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation by Customer:
More than 48 hours before service: Full refund (minus processing fees).
Less than 48 hours before service: No refund (except under exceptional circumstances).
Cancellation by GK Travels:
Full refund or alternative arrangement offered in case of unforeseen disruptions (e.g., extreme weather, safety concerns).
No-Shows: No refund will be issued.
3. Services & Responsibilities
A. Airport Transfers
Pickup & Drop-off: Exact locations and times must be confirmed in advance.
Flight Delays: We monitor flight statuses, but customers must inform us of significant delays.
Waiting Time: Free waiting time is 45 minutes after landing (additional waiting time may incur fees).
B. Private Tours
Itinerary Changes: Routes may adjust due to weather, road conditions, or safety concerns.
Guide Responsibilities: Our guides ensure a safe and enjoyable experience but are not liable for personal negligence.
Customer Conduct: Disruptive behavior may result in termination of service without refund.
C. Vehicle & Safety
Luxury Vehicles: We maintain high standards, but wear and tear may occur.
Seat Belts: Mandatory for all passengers (Icelandic law).
Child Seats: Available upon request (must be booked in advance).
4. Customer Obligations
A. Accurate Information
Provide correct flight details, contact information, and special requests.
Notify us immediately of any changes.
B. Prohibited Activities
Smoking, alcohol, or illegal substances in vehicles.
Damaging vehicles or equipment (customer liable for repair costs).
Unauthorized commercial use of our services (e.g., reselling tours).
C. Luggage Policy
Standard allowance: 1 large suitcase + 1 carry-on per passenger.
Oversized items (e.g., sports equipment) must be declared in advance.
5. Liability & Disclaimers
A. Limitation of Liability
GK Travels is not liable for:
Delays due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen events.
Lost or damaged personal belongings left in vehicles.
Injuries caused by customer negligence.
Maximum liability is limited to the total cost of the booked service.
B. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for disruptions caused by:
Natural disasters, extreme weather, or volcanic activity.
Government restrictions, strikes, or pandemics.
6. Privacy & Data Protection
Personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy (available on our website).
By booking, you consent to data processing for service fulfillment.
7. Complaints & Disputes
Complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of service.
Disputes governed by Icelandic law, with Reykjavík courts having jurisdiction.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms; changes will be posted online.
